Vitamin B17

Vitamin B17, part of the nitriloside family, has been unofficially used in America in the chemical form known as laetrile for the treatment of cancer, and there are many claims of success. However, such treatment is only in the experimental stages, and is the subject of much controversy. The U.S. government has so far declined to give the vitamin official recognition, but there is a powerful popular movement to get the medical establishment to accept laetrile’s alleged value in the battle against cancer. Vitamin B17 is found in kernels of most fruits, and especially apricot kernels, and it is a substance which clearly calls for a lot more research.
